Finished Designs

Here are my final outcomes for the project, i struggled taking good pictures as the light was bad and the flash kept reflecting off the vinyl.

Ideas

I am thinking of doing either a poster, campaign or designs onto vinyls. The crit i found very helpful as the original idea was jut to create a poster but i don't feel thats a very personal way to say thank you. I looked into campaigns to do with keeping vinyls in the industry but as i started researching i realised that they are very much still in use. I have decided to create 4 designs and spray them onto vinyl records. i want them to be bright and interesting and to relate directly to Armin Van Buuren

Thank You Project

I needed to decide on a person to thank for my project and struggled to think of someone who I would really want to say thank you too. I started off looking at Si Scott as his illustrations and work have always inspired me but there was very little information on him and I felt it would have been difficult to say thank you too him without using very similar or the same techniques that he uses for his work. I then moved away from him and looked into different artists and musicians and decided to thank Armin Van Buuren who is a famous DJ and who has inspired me to follow my passion. I find his music exciting and inspiring.

Final Animation

Again I can't load flash animations onto my blog! When it decides to work I will put them up!

Stop Frame - Titanic

I can't get my stop frame animation to load onto my blog no matter what I try! My stop frame was basically a sinking ship and then a man drowning beside it. I found stop frame fun to do but the thought of doing it for my final animation made me feel a bit faint!

Flash Animation

Finally decided on a topic for my animation which is Facebook. I was looking at the statistics of Facebook and it's unbelievable! I am going to use the argument that people need to stop using Facebook so much and get out of the house which is very hypocritical of me as I am a Facebook user!

Animation - Typolution

When I started this project on animation the first thing I thought of was Typolution as it was something I have looked at through various projects in college and was something I knew was well animated and interested me a lot. I want my animation to flow smoothly as this animation does and I want it to keep the audience intrigued as to what is going to happen.

War On Want Development

This is my favourite development piece (except for my final pieces!). It took ages to line up the pieces and they still are not all completely in line which is why I didn't do something like this for my final outcomes.

Democracy - One day project

This is the work I created for a one day group project at University. I enjoy working with type which is why i created the entire piece out of it!

Barnardos Advertising

I found these 2 adverts whilst looking at Barnardos advertising campaigns. I feel both are very shocking and slightly creepy! They are strong adverts and I think would have worked well and made a lot of the viewers donate to charity. It would make me donate if I wasn't a student lacking any money!!

Amnesty Adverts

Amnesty International are a very large charity that I looked at. I felt that looking at there adverts would give me some ideas of what to put into my posters. I chose some very shocking adverts as I want mine to be strong and bold. I think that looking at these posters would make the audience want to help out the charity and donate money.

War On Want

I am finding it very difficult to come up with ideas for this project that get the message across and are shocking. I want to grab the audiences attention ... not bore them! Need to keep thinking as my ideas so far are simple but not effective at all!

This is a barclays advert I saw on TV which I thought was really interesting and kept my attention throughout.

Nike Freestyle

I looked at some successful video adverts and this was one of my favourites. It is a very interesting advert and keeps my attention throughout.

War On Want

For this project I am creating a poster and then a second dimension for the charity War on Want. I am looking forward to this unit because i enjoy creating layouts and posters.
War on Want fights poverty in developing countries in partnership with people affected by globalisation. They campaign for human rights and against the root causes of global poverty, inequality and injustice.
I am going to look at successful advert campaigns for this unit and research why they were successful. I am going to take aspects from successful campaigns and use similar techniques in my design for my poster for War on Want.
